Hartford Wolf Pack News Release
The Wolf Pack (26-27-5-3, 60 pts., .492) were 0-2-1-0 in three games this past weekend, starting with a comeback from 3-0 and 4-1 deficits Friday night, in a 5-4 overtime loss at Springfield. Vinni Lettieri scored twice in that game for Hartford, and Lias Andersson and Adam Tambellini had a goal and an assist each. The Providence Bruins defeated the Wolf Pack 6-2 Saturday afternoon at the XL Center, in front of a crowd of 7,281, the second-largest of the season. Ryan Sproul and Gabriel Fontaine scored third-period goals for the Wolf Pack in that game. Then, on Sunday at home, the Wolf Pack jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the Charlotte Checkers, on goals by Tambellini and Filip Chytil, only to see Charlotte put up four in the second period. A Boo Nieves tally in the third frame brought the Wolf Pack back to within one, but they would end up falling by a 4-3 final score.
