The Missions gained the lead in the fifth inning. Kervin Pichardo was hit by a pitch with one out in the frame. After recording the second out, Krauth allowed a single to Cole Cummings. On the play, Pichardo advanced to third base. Krauth, attempting to pick-off Cummings, threw the ball towards the Frisco bullpen and Pichardo trotted home. San Antonio took a 2-1 lead.

Wolf pitched out of a jam in the top of the sixth inning. Thomas Saggese drew a walk to start the frame. After retiring the next batter, Wolf allowed a base hit to Evan Carter. The southpaw left the runners stranded after striking out the two batters.
