
Wizards Sign Former OU Player Johnson

Bismarck, ND- The Dakota Wizards of the Continental Basketball Association announce the signing of former Oklahoma University player Nolan Johnson, pending CBA league approval. Johnson is a 6'5", 220, forward. In his senior year at Oklahoma in 2001, Johnson averaged 13 ppg, 5 rpg, and 2.2 apg. He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Big 12 Conference Tournament and was also a Third Team All Big 12 pick in 2001.
Johnson spent last season playing for Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus. "We are looking forward to having Nolan's toughness-he can really guard people and can also score, " said Wizards Head Coach Dave Joerger. "We've had good success in the past with guys from the Oklahoma program, including former point guard Mike Johnson. They are well coached and are all tough nosed players".
The Wizards season opener is on Friday, November 14th versus the Sioux Falls Skyforce at the Bismarck Civic Center. Season Tickets are still available by calling Wizards General Manager Alex Geche at 701-258-2255.
