Wizards Make Their First Roster Move of the 07-08 Season

BISMARCK, ND, February 13, 2008 - The NBA Development League Champion Dakota Wizards announced today that they have reacquired 6'2 170 lb, guard Tony Gipson.

Gipson was the Wizards 10th round pick in this years D-League draft before being released during training camp prior to the start of the season. Gipson graduated from LSU where he played two seasons for the Tigers thru 2002 - 2004.

Following his college career Gipson played for the Demon Astronauts in Amsterdam during the 2004-05 season, where he averaged 18.0 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game along with 2.4 assists in 14 games. That performance gave him the opportunity to get back to the states as he then played in the Rocky Mountain Revue with the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA.

Gipson, who fills the open roster spot vacated by guard Maurice Baker who has left the team, will meet the team in Sioux Falls and will wear jersey # 24 when they face the Skyforce on Thursday February 14th.
