Kansas City, Mo. (Sunday, August 27, 2006) - The Kansas City Wizards are now unbeaten at home under head coach Brian Bliss as they topped FC Dallas 1-0 to retain fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Wizards forward Scott Sealy netted the game's lone goal and the Kansas City defense held strong to give the resurgent Wizards points in their fifth game out of their last six.

Sealy broke the scoreless tie in the 62nd minute with his team second-best fifth goal of the season. Playing up the left side of the field, midfielder Sasha Victorine struck a hard-hit diagonal pass in towards the penalty spot from about 25-yards out. Forward Eddie Johnson dummied a run over the ball, catching the FC Dallas defense by surprise as the ball rolled right into the path of the onrushing Sealy running up the middle of the field. The Trinidadian striker took one-touch on the ball, pushing it to about 10-yards out, head-up on the left post, before ripping a shot past the outstretched arms of Hoops goalkeeper Dario Sala for what proved to be a 1-0 Kansas City win.

Goalkeeper Bo Oshoniyi preserved the 1-0 Wizards lead with a trio of stunning second half saves, including one on Arturo Alvarez in stoppage time from point-blank range. Oshoniyi finished the night with a game-high six saves for his fifth shutout of the season.
