Wizards End Season with Home Victory

Bismarck, N.D. (April 4, 2011) ¬" The Dakota Wizards (19-31) ended the regular season with a 103-99 home victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce (10-40) Monday night at the Bismarck Civic Center.
The Wizards jumped out to an early six point lead to start the game and maintained the lead the entire quarter to lead 22-18 at the end of the first quarter.
The Skyforce battled back in the second and took their biggest lead of the game at 29-25 on a jump shot by Yemi Ogunoye with 9:14 left in the quarter. Dakota went on an 8-0 run to regain the lead and would extend the lead to 11 at the break on a three pointer by Anthony Goods with 0.6 seconds left. Goods scored 10 of his 16 points in the quarter.
The Wizards would extend the lead to 15 early in the third but the Skyforce fought back to cut the third quarter lead to 72-67. Stephen McDowell led the charge for the Skyforce scoring 12 of his 15 points in the quarter on 5-of-6 shooting. Dakota led by as many as 10 in the fourth with 1:28 to play but Sioux Falls went on a 7-0 run capped by a Dominique Coleman lay-up with 34.6 left. A missed shot by Renaldo Major and a rebound and put back by Maurice Baker secured the 103-99 victory for Dakota.
Keaton Grant led the way for the Skyforce with a double-double scoring 21 points along with 10 rebounds. Yemi Ogunoye added 20 points and Dominique Coleman recorded a double-double of his own scoring 17 points along with 10 rebounds
Renaldo Major led the way for the Wizards with 21 points and Javaris Crittenton came off the bench with 20 points. Mike Anderson recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds and Chris Ayer did the same with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Dakota ends the season with a record of 19-31 and Sioux Falls ends their season with a record of 10-40.
