Saskatoon rebounded midway through the period and tied the game at 3-3 at the 11:09 mark on a power play goal by Josh Nicholls. Late in the period, with both teams battling, the Blades scored the eventual game-winner with just 1:59 remaining in the third on a goal by Curtis Hamilton to give Saskatoon the 4-3 win.
