Southaven, Miss. - Three goals late in the third period brought the RiverKings within two, but they could not overcome Fayetteville's five-goal lead as they fell 5-3 to the FireAntz in front of an announced crowd of 4,560 on Pack the House and National Wild Turkey Federation jersey night at the Landers Center in Southaven.
The RiverKings fell behind early in the game as Chris Leveille beat 'Kings netminder David Wilson on a breakaway feed from Sean Cryer and newcomer Jesse Cole to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
Fayetteville added to their lead in the second period as Chris Rebernik converted on a Mike Forgie pass on a shorthanded two-on-one to put the 'Antz up two. Seven minuts later, Jesse Biduke picked up his fourth goal in as many games against the RiverKings as he pushed the lead to three heading into the third period.
The third period opened with a pair of goals in the first three and a half minutes. Chris Leveille scored his second goal of the night and Josh McQuade converted on a two-on-one to beat David Wilson
