Aberdeen 2 @ Brookings 1 - Thomas Rocco's goal at the 8:31 mark of the third period stood as the game winning goal and lifted the Aberdeen Wings to a 2-1 win over the Brookings Blizzard. Pierson Brandon netted his second goal of the year as well in the victory. Matt Vernon continued to be lights out as he allowed just one goal on 26 shots. Brady Bjork scored the only goal for Brookings and Jack Caruso turned aside 23 shots. The win gave the Wings 3 points on the weekend and increased their lead in the NAHL Central Division to 16 points with a game in hand.
The Wings are back in action Thursday February 14th, hosting the Bismarck Bobcats at the Odde Ice Center. Friday and Saturday they will return to Brookings for the final match ups with the Blizzard.
