Dallas Wings News Release
The Dallas Wings head to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Storm tomorrow, Friday, July 12 at Alaska Airlines Arena. Fans can tune in to watch the game on the CBS Sports Network at 9:00 pm.
The Wings are looking to build on its 74-62 win against the Los Angeles Sparks, where they were able to shut down an electric LA offense and end the Sparks three-game win streak in front of a sellout crowd on Tuesday. Rallying from an early first quarter deficit behind veteran Kayla Thornton's 17 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, the Wings tallied its fifth win of the season and ended a two-game losing skid. It was Thornton's fourth time leading the Wings in point this season. She was assisted by the efforts of Kaela Davis, who dropped a season high 13 points, and Arike Ogunbowale, whose 14 points gave her a tie for the most 10+ points game by a rookie this season at nine.
The Storm, led by Forward Natasha Howard, who is averaging 17.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, are looking to snap a three-game losing streak, including a 77-66 recent loss to Atlanta last Friday.
