Today, the Wings traded defenseman John Ranagan to the Georgia Swarm for a 2023 4th Round Draft Pick. Ranagan, 31, was drafted by the Wings and started his career in Philadelphia in 2014 before the franchise's move to New England, and then played for Georgia and New York before returning to Philadelphia in a trade in November of 2020.
Ranagan appeared in four games for the Wings this season and picked up 1 goal, 2 assists, 8 loose balls, 2 blocked shots, and 3 caused turnovers.
