Philadelphia Wings Jeff Ratcliffe invites participants from the Greater Philadelphia Mentoring Partnership to sit in his "Rat Pack" section this Saturday afternoon to watch the Wings take on the New York Saints at the First Union Center at 1 p.m. Ratcliffe personally donates 30 tickets to every home game to enable underprivileged children to sit in his "Rat Pack" section and enjoy a Wings indoor lacrosse game at the First Union Center.
The Greater Philadelphia Mentoring Partnership at United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania helps hundreds of schools, businesses, universities, churches and community groups to facilitate mentoring relationships between caring adults and children who need them in their lives. The mentoring programs attending the game on Saturday afternoon include participants from: Time For Teens; the Huntington Park Community Development Corportation; and the Protégé at the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). For information on how to obtain Jeff Ratcliffe's "Rat Pack" for your group contact the Wings PR office at 215-389-9743.
"It's great to be able to give back to such a great organization," said Ratcliffe. "The mentoring program provides such great support for kids as well as adults. It's great to be able to assist them in making a positive impact on the lives of people in our area."
Jeff "The Rat" Ratcliffe, a three-year Wings veteran, hails from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. The 6'1'', 205-pound forward has recorded 26 points (14 goals, 12 assists) in nine games for the Wings this season.
