Philadelphia Wings News Release
The Philadelphia Wings (4-5) indoor lacrosse team can secure the Eastern Division lead Thursday, March 6 when they travel to the Nassau County Coliseum to face the New York Saints or on Saturday, March 8 when they face the Saints again at the First Union Center in a 1 p.m. rematch.
"This is a crucial two-game series for this team," said Wings General Manager Marty O'Neill. "Although New York is at the bottom of our division right now, they've been playing very well as of late. Their team is definitely looking to break out right now which makes them a dangerous opponent."
The Wings are currently in second place in the National Lacrosse League's Eastern Division, just one-half game behind the division leading Colorado Mammoth (5-5). The leaders in each of the NLL's three divisions automatically qualify for a playoff berth. The remaining three seeds are determined by overall record. The first round of the NLL playoffs begin on April 18.
The Wings continue their March Madness stretch with three remaining consecutive Saturday home games for the Wings in the month of March. The Wings are offering a March Madness package including games March 8 vs. the New York Saints, March 15 vs. the Buffalo Bandits, and March 22 vs. the Calgary Roughnecks. Game time is 8 p.m. for all games except for the March 8 at 1 p.m. Packages start as low as $45 and can be purchased by calling 215-389-WINGS (9464).
Individual game tickets, which include free admission to the Broad Street Bash, start as low as $18 ($20 day of game). Individual game tickets for Wings indoor lacrosse are $18, $23, and $27 in advance ($20, $25, and $29 on game day) and are available at the First Union Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations. Get your tickets now before they fly away!
