Wings Lose to Storm, 83-74

Seattle, Washington - The Dallas Wings (10-13) lost to the Seattle Storm (16-8), 83 - 74, at Climate Pledge Arena, Tuesday afternoon.

The Wings attack was led by center Teaira McCowan, who tallied a season-high tying 18 points and led the team with 10 rebounds for her team-leading fourth double-double of the season. She was joined in double-figures by Arike Ogunbowale (12), Satou Sabally (10), and Ty Harris (10 - ties season-high).

Dallas next faces the Minnesota Lynx (8 - 15) on Thursday, July 14 in Minneapolis at 7:00 p.m. CT.

Notables:

Marina Mabrey scored her 1,000th point on a layup at the 9:06 mark of the third quarter. She finished with nine points and added five assists, which led the team.

Dallas center Teaira McCowan netted a season-high tying 18 points, including 10 in the first half.

Guard Ty Harris netted 10 points, including sinking a season-high three threes.

Satou Sabally netted 10 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Arike Ogunbowale scored 12 points and recorded six rebounds.

The Wings have made at least 10 free throws in all but one game this season, including going 13 of 18 (72.2%) from the line tonight.

The Wings recorded 10 steals, led by Veronica Burton, who led the team with three steals, while adding six points off the bench, going 2-2 from beyond the arc. It is the sixth time this season Dallas has grabbed at least 10 steals.
