July 17, 2019 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA)
Dallas Wings News Release

The Dallas Wings (5-11) begin a two-game road trip, the team's only back-to-back of the year, by taking on the Phoenix Mercury (7-8) at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Wednesday, July 17 and the Los Angeles Sparks (9-7) on Thursday, July 18. Both games will tipoff at 2:30 p.m. Fans can tune into Fox Sports Southwest to watch the game against the Mercury and NBA TV for the matchup against the Sparks.

Rookie Arike Ogunbowale dropped a team-high 20 points in Dallas' last showing, giving her 20 or more points in back-to-back contests for the second time this season and the third time in the past four games. Her five 20 point games this season are tied for third most by a rookie in franchise history. Kaela Davis had 10 points against the Sky, her fourth consecutive game of 10 or more, joining Ogunbowale as the only Wings to do so for this season. Imani McGee-Stafford tied her season rebound total with eight and was just one-point shy of her season-high in points with 11 against the Chicago.

The Mercury, led by DeWanna Bonner and Brittney Griner, are looking to ground the Wings for the first time this season after losing the team's first matchup at College Park Center 69-54. Phoenix has gone 5-3 since then, including Sunday's 75-62 loss at the Lynx.
