Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Game Preview
After suffering their first loss of the season the Kalamazoo Wings return home to face-off against the Missouri River Otters. While the Otters are still in search of their first win of the young season, they will be looking for their second straight win at Wings Stadium. Missouri defeated the K-Wings 3-2 the last time they played in Kalamazoo (4/9/05) and they are the last team to defeat the K-Wings at Wings Stadium in a regular season game.
The K-Wings enter tonight's game with a new face and a not so new face in their lineup. Forward Todd Grant will make his professional debut against Missouri. Grant has played the past four seasons with the University of Miami of Ohio. Also in the tonight's lineup will be Jason Deitsch. Deitsch played 12 games for the K-Wings a season ago and has already made his presence felt this year by scoring a goal Wednesday night against the Rockford IceHogs.
While the River Otters haven't won a game this year, they enter tonight with some confidence thanks their 1-0 shootout loss to the Motor City Mechanics on Wednesday. Don't let the record (0-5-1) fool you the River Otters have been in their fair share of games; however, Missouri's down fall this year has been the third period, where they have been outscored 14-2 by their opponents.
