The Dallas Wings (5-8) encounter the Los Angeles Sparks (9-3) for the first time this season Sunday, August 22, at 5 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on Facebook, FOX Sports GO and WNBA League Pass.

The Wings are coming off their first overtime win since 2017 and first game of the 2020 season with five scorers having at least ten points, including the WNBA's leading scorer Arike Ogunbowale, who dropped 24 points. UTEP graduate Kayla Thornton also knocked in 17 points while leading the team on the glass with 10 rebounds for her third career double-double, and first back-to-back double-double. The marvelous Miner also tied her career-high with four three-pointers on just six attempts to lead Dallas' dynamic downtown threat, which ranks second in the league in three-pointers made.

Dallas will continue to try and protect the ball against the Sparks, who average 10.6 steals per game, the second best in the WNBA, as the Wings average the lowest average turnovers in the league, only 13.1 per game.
