Arlington, TX - The Dallas Wings (25-16) host the Phoenix Mercury (15-26) in their final regular season home game on Saturday, September 19 at 12:00 p.m. CT at College Park Center. The game will air nationally on CBS with Jordan Kent (play-by-play), Isis Young (analyst) and Hailey Sutton (sideline) on the call. The Wings will host their final theme game of the season, "Thank You Fans & Arlington," as they celebrate their last regular season game at College Park Center and honor the fans and Arlington community who have supported the team throughout their time in the venue.
Dallas enters Saturday's contest winners of five straight, most recently defeating the Los Angeles Sparks, 97-77, at home on Thursday night. After the game was tied 44-44 at the break, the Wings outscored the Sparks 53-33 over the final 20 minutes to secure the win. Jessica Shepard recorded her WNBA-leading fifth triple-double of the season with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists, while Paige Bueckers led Dallas in scoring for the 23rd time this season with a game-high 19 points.
The Wings and Mercury will meet for the first time since June, as the Wings picked up an 85-70 win in the two teams' first meeting this season on June 11 in Arlington. In that contest, Paige Bueckers led Dallas with 31 points, while Jessica Shepard added a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Wings have won three of the last four regular season meetings against Phoenix and will look to carry that momentum into the final two games of the season series, with the teams set to face off in back-to-back matchups beginning Saturday in Texas before concluding Monday, September 21, in Phoenix.
The Mercury enters Saturday's game after picking up a 94-91 road victory over the Portland Fire on Thursday night. Six players finished in double digits for Phoenix, led by 22 points off the bench from rookie Shay Ciezki.
