Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings got revenge Saturday night against the Austin Bruins in NAHL action at the Odde Ice Center. The game started off rough for the Wings as in the first five minutes Austin would score twice with goals from #8 Lucas Kohls and #20 Guillaume LeClerc. But the Wings, in front of 1,500 fans, would score back to back goals within 20 seconds of each other. #9 Pat Steinhauser (F-Plymouth, MN) would score at the 10:17 mark with the assist from #24 Jonathan Grebosky (F-Pittsburgh, PA). 18 seconds later #27 Erik Baskin (F-Minnetonka, MN) would score unassisted. At the 12:34 mark #11 TJ Roo (F-Coon Rapids, MN) would score for the Wings making it 3-2 with assists from #15 Jordan Heller (F-Bemidji, MN) and #3 Daniel Billet (D-Highlands Ranch, CO). But the Wings would not stop there, still in the 1st period #4 Jake Horton (D-Plymouth, MN) would find the back of the net with just a minute left. Assists would be from #15 Jordan Heller and #11 TJ Roo. After one, the Wings would lead 4-2.
In the second period, only one score would come later from #24 Jonathan Grebosky. Just this last week, he was named 2nd Star of the Week from the NAHL. In the 3rd period, the Wings would add another goal from rookie #8 Drew Doyon (F-Indianapolis, IN), with the assist from #25 Lennart Palausch (F-Mannheim, Germany). That would make it 6-2, and the Wings would push through to improve to 8-3-1 on the season.
