Wingnuts Set Opening Night Roster

Wichita Wingnuts News Release
WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts trimmed their roster to 23 players in preparation for Thursday's season opener versus the Lincoln Saltdogs.
Wichita released catcher Eric Rodriguez, infielder Cody Fuqua, and pitchers Luis Chirinos, Derek Christensen, and Derrick Miramontes.
American Association teams may open the regular season with 23 players. Rosters must be pared down to 22 after the first two weeks.
Derek Blacksher takes the mound on Thursday, and is expected to be followed by Ryan Hinson, Josh Lowey, Jose Perez, and Ben Graham.
