The Windy City Thunderbolts lost a tough one against the River City Rascals tonight by a score of 5-2. The ThunderBolts starting pitcher Kris Regas had a strong outing, going 7 1/3 innings while letting up 3 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits while striking out six and walking none, however earning his second loss of the season. Rascals starting pitcher Steve Brook also had a strong outing, going eight innings and letting up two runs (one earned) on 8 hits while striking out 7 and walking none, earning his 8th win of the season.
The ThunderBolts kept the game close until the ninth inning, when the Rascals scored two runs on a pair of errors by the ThunderBolts, putting the game away for good. On Tuesday the ThunderBolts travel to Missouri to begin a six day eight game road trip against the Springfield/ Ozark Ducks and Mid Missouri Mavericks, and return next Monday to face the Gateway Grizzlies in a three-game series. Tonight's announced attendance was 1,121.
