Windsor Spitfires News Release
The Windsor Spitfires mourn the passing of former GM/Coach Wayne Maxner. Our thoughts are with Wayne's family and friends and all of the players he had a privilege coaching and mentoring.
The Spitfires honoured Wayne with our 75th anniversary season back in 2021. Maxner brought in many familiar faces within the organization that include current GM Bill Bowler.
Maxner had a few coaching stints with the Spitfires as well as the Adirondack Red Wings, the Detroit Red Wings, the Sudbury Wolves, and the London Knights.
Our thoughts and prayers go to Wayne's family at this time. May he rest in peace.
