Vero Beach Devil Rays News Release

(Jupiter, FL) - The Dodgers saw their five-game winning streak snapped Thursday night with a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Jupiter Hammerheads in Jupiter.

LHP Matt Merricks was the unlucky loser, allowing just one run, a third inning homer by RF Jeremy Hermida, on seven hits, striking out four.

The Dodgers managed only four hits and three errors led to a trio of unearned runs as Jupiter plated three runs without the benefit of a hit in the seventh inning to break it open.

With their magic number still at six and a five-game lead on Palm Beach with nine games left to play, the Dodgers take on Jupiter in the second game of a four-game set Friday night at 7:05 PM.
