Laredo Law News Release

LAREDO, Texas – Come on, you all know you have them in the closet. This Friday night is the perfect time to break out that ugly tie you received for a Father's Day present as you celebrate with the af2 Laredo Law at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The Law is hosting an ‘Ugliest Tie' contest this Friday night with the selected winners competing for a variety of fabulous prizes. The Law hosts the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings this Friday night at the LEC. Kids can buy a ticket and Dad gets in free. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Call the Law ticket office at (956)-726-GAME (4263) or log onto www.laredolaw.com.

Anyone is eligible, including woman wearing an ugly tie. You must wear your ugly tie to the game. Now that doesn't mean you need a dress shirt, ties could be worn with t-shirts or tank tops or a Law football jersey, but you must wear the tie to the game and inside the building.

"Finally this is your chance to make that big fashion statement," said Law President John Beckelhymer. "Everyone has an ugly tie that someone has given them. Instead of just rewrapping the tie and giving it away, wear it to the Law game this Friday night. We are looking for the most hideous, ugly, ridiculous ties. The type of tie where you just smile and nod when you receive it as a present."

Several ugly tie winners will be selected and will participate in an on field contest at halftime as they compete for a variety of fabulous prizes including Spurs versus Rockets exhibition game tickets and a mystery prize that is perfect for Father's Day.

After the game kids can take their Dads onto the field to get autographs from the Law right on the LEC turf.
