
Willmar Slips past Huskies 5-4

The Duluth Huskies (20-16) was defeated by the Willmar Stingers by the score of 5-4.
The Huskies started the scoring with two runs in the second inning thanks to Cal Stevenson's single that scored Justin Paulsen and Jean Figueroa. The Huskies scored another run in the 4th inning with Nick Valaika's single to score Figueroa. The Huskies scored a fourth run in the 5th inning with Elliott Barzilli's single to score Alex Wojciechowski.
Kyle Gilbert hits a single in the top of the 9th to score Paul Funk and Reagan Fowler. Justin Thaxton hit a three run homerun in the top of the 9th inning to give the Stingers the lead.
Kevin Folman pitched a solid 6.2, not letting up a single run and striking out two batters. Brady Anderson got the save for the Stingers.
The Huskies will be back in action at 6:35 June 3rd to play Alexandria Blue Anchors at Wade Stadium.
