Kingfish in First Place; Can Clinch Division Title with a Win Tonight

Kenosha Kingfish News Release
Due to a miscalculation in the Northwoods League standings, the Kenosha Kingfish are now in first place in the Northwoods League South Division with one game remaining in the first half of the season.
Green Bay was in violation of the league pitching guidelines, which resulted in a loss. Green Bay's record should now be 21-13, a half game behind the Kenosha Kingfish (22-13) for first place.
"By virtue of our Green Bay team experiencing a loss earlier in the season due to a violation of the League's Pitching Guidelines in a game they had won, and our statistical service's inability to change the standings, currently the Bullfrogs are percentage points behind Kenosha in the standings instead of percentage points ahead going into the final game of the first half," said Northwoods League President Dick Radatz, Jr.
The Kingfish host the Lakeshore Chinooks for game two of a doubleheader tonight. Should the Kingfish win, they clinch the Northwoods League South Division first half title and a playoff berth in the Northwoods League Divisional Playoffs in August. Seats are still available for tonight's potential playoff clinching win. Come on down to Simmons Field for a great evening of baseball.
