Laredo Lemurs News Release
Laredo, TX - The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Laredo Lemurs lefty Fabian Williamson has been named this week's Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week.
In his last start, Williamson hurled a complete game, two-hit shutout in an interleague game against the Can-Am League's Newark Bears. The Laredo left-hander struck out nine and did not walk a batter, leading the Lemurs to a 7-0 win. That was not, however, Williamson's only noteworthy start this week.
The southpaw struck out 11 hitters over seven innings in his start on Tuesday. Williamson surrendered only two runs on six hits, as the Lemurs won on the road at El Paso. Over his two starts this week, Williamson held a 1.13 ERA with a pair of wins. He also struck out 20 batters over 16 innings of work.
