New Jersey Titans News Release
Titans head coach and general manager Craig Doremus has announced today that forward Stephen Willey has been named the team's captain for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
Willey will be entering his second season with the Red Buckets. Last year the Shelton, CT native had 21 points (10 goals and 11 assists) in 49 games. He is committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Army in the fall of 2022.
"We are proud to name Stephen Willey as our next captain" said Doremus. "Stephen follows a long line of extremely impressive young men in wearing the Captain's C on his Titans' sweater. Stephen enters his second season with our team, and we expect him to continue to grow and develop on and off the ice. He had a very good rookie season in the NAHL, and we are excited to have him lead this group of Titans. Stephen is committed to West Point and his maturity, accountability and overall demeanor will be huge factors for our club. We are extremely excited to have Stephen as our captain and we look forward to him leading our team to the Robertson Cup" concluded Doremus.
