Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers to Offer Fundraising Program in 2003

Wilkes-Barre, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to unveil a new program designed to assist area organizations and their attempts to raise money.

"We're committed to providing family entertainment, while at the same time supporting local organizations conducting fundraising initiatives," said Pioneers President Greg Smith. "We'll do everything we can to lend a helping hand in our community." The program is designed to assist a wide variety of groups, ranging from the Boy Scouts of America to local church and school groups, as well as civic organizations.

The Pioneers will make a donation to all fundraising organizations that bring 40 or more members and guest to a 2003 home game. Any organization interested in participating in the fundraising program may contact David Raspen, Director of Ticketing, at (570) 270-5811.

The Pioneers 2003 home opener will be Friday, April 11th against the Mohegan Wolves, and has been designated as "Johnny Unitas Tribute Night." Anyone interested in season, group, or individual game tickets may contact the Pioneers ticketing department at (570) 270-5811 or (570) 270-3848.
