South Georgia Wildcats News Release

ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats received the 2007 Most Improved Team Operations Award at the Annual af2 Awards Banquet held Friday, August 24 in Bossier City, Louisiana, one day prior to the championship game between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers and the Tulsa Talons.

"It's certainly an honor to have the hard work of our owners, front office staff, coaches, and players noticed around the league," said Darren McPhail, General Manager. "It's a long process to turn a franchise into a winner on and off the field, but we feel this award definitely represents our efforts in the 2007 season as an enormous first-step. We would also like to thank all of our fans, season ticket holders, and sponsors that helped make this such a memorable season."

The Wildcats finished their best season in three years with a 10-6 regular season record, 1-1 in the playoffs. Wildcats D. Bryant and Chavis McCollister were named to the First Team All af2 Roster, and Ed Wangler was named to the Second Team.

Season Tickets for 2008 are on sale and available by contacting the Civic Center Box Office at 229-430-5204.
