
Wildcats Add Experience To Coaching Staff

ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats arenafootball team announced that Ron Hill has been named Assistant Head Coach. Hill will also be responsible for coaching the offensive/defensive line and fullbacks/linebackers.
Hill brings 21 years of coaching experience to the Wildcats coaching staff. He has coached the last five seasons in the arenafootball2 league. In 2004, Hill was interim head coach and offensive coordinator for the Manchester Wolves. The Wolves finished fourth in the league in total offense and had three receivers with over 850-receiving yards. Hill spent four seasons with the Norfolk Nighthawks (af2) from 2000-2003. He was an offensive coordinator, special teams coach and recruiter for the Nighthawks during his tenure.
Hill began his coaching career in Norfolk, Virginia with the Chesapeake Bay Neptunes (Mason Dixon Football League) in 1985. In 1988, he moved to the college ranks as a receivers coach with Norfolk State University. He was a member of the coaching staff for the Tidewater Sharks (MDFL) for three seasons and was a receivers coach for Booker T. Washington High School (Norfolk, VA) from 1991-1994. Hill rejoined the Sharks as an offensive coordinator from 1994-1997 and was head coach for the Neptunes from 1997-2000.
The Wildcats will begin training camp on March 13th. The Arena Football League is entering its 20th season and the South Georgia Wildcats are entering their second season in Albany, GA. The Wildcats will kickoff the 2006 season against Tennessee Valley Vipers on Saturday, April 8th at the Albany Civic Center. Wildcats season tickets are now on sale starting at just $70.
