Pioneers and Citadel Communications partner for 2006 season

Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce a 2006 and 2007 season radio partnership agreement with Citadel Communications. As part of the partnership, Citadel will broadcast each Pioneers regular and post-season game during the 2006 season on WSJR (93.7 FM). All the radio stations that makeup Citadel Communications will also be involved in promoting the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers.

This partnership offers us the largest radio coverage, as well as FM-quality broadcasts of our games, something that our fans have wanted. It is a winning situation for the Pioneers, as well as for current and future af2 fans," said Pioneers President and General Manager Dave Berryman.
"WSJR (93.7FM) was very interested in creating this partnership with the Pioneers, and we are looking forward for the season to start," said General Manager C. Taylor Walet, III.
The Pioneers season opener is Friday, March 31, 2006 at 7:00pm versus Louisville Fire at the Wachovia Arena. The team will play a 16-game season and season tickets are on sale now at (570)270-5811 or (570)270-3848. Season tickets for 2006 are available for as low as $40.00.
