Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Moncton Wildcats have acquired defenceman Jérémie Hébert from the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in exchange for a 6th round pick (CHA) in the 2019 QMJHL Entry Draft.
Drafted in 2017, Jérémie played last season in the QMJHL with Baie-Comeau for his rookie year, appearing in 30 games as a 16-year old. A local product from Irishtown NB, Jérémie is currently playing with the Miramichi Timberwolves of the MJAHL. To date this season he has been in the lineup for 28 games, notching two goals and eight points.
"Jérémie is a local product that already has experience in the league and will provide depth for us at the defense position" said Director of Hockey Operations, Ritchie Thibeau.
The Wildcats are back in action this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. as they take on the Charlottetown Islanders. Follow along for every minute of the game with our broadcaster Tim Roszell at 105.1 FM Moncton, 99.1 FM Amherst and 107.3 FM in Sussex.
