DES MOINES, IOWA - Ahead of Iowa Wild's game against Cleveland Monsters on January 7, the organization welcomed its one-millionth fan to Wells Fargo Arena.

"First of all, thank you to all our fans because they truly are the best in the AHL," said Iowa Wild President Todd Frederickson. "To reach one million fans is a tremendous accomplishment. It's a testament to how special the hockey community is here in central Iowa. I'm proud to say we reached one million fans and can't wait to share the experience of hockey with the next million."

James Walker and his son, Jensen, received season tickets for life from the Wild for being the organization's one-millionth fan. The Des Moines native also received upgraded glass seats for the game against Cleveland, a customized Wild jersey with "1 Million" on the back, a Wild gift basket and participated in the ceremonial puck drop.

The Iowa Wild 2017-18 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center and runs from October through April.
