Washington, Pa - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, announced Patrick Sadler has re-signed with the Wild Things for the 2007 season.

Sadler, who joined the Wild Things' bullpen in 2006, completed the season with a 4-2 record and three saves. He finished with a 2.68 ERA, allowing 44 hits and 20 runs in 50.1 innings pitched.

Sadler, a Washington native and Trinity High School graduate, played for Ohio Valley of the Frontier League in 2005 where he hit .218 with seven home runs and 23 RBI. Sadler was originally signed from California (PA) University where he was a two-year starter and two-time PSAC West All-Star for the Vulcans, Sadler finished fourth on the team with a .329 batting average (52-for-158). He led the team in doubles (19) and was among the top three on the team in runs scored (40), RBI (28), home runs (six), walks (21) and being hit by a pitch (six) last season. He earned All-PSAC West and All-NCAA Div. II North Atlantic Region recognition in 2005 as a utility player after playing four positions for the Vulcans (catcher, infielder, outfielder, DH). The Wild Things acquired Sadler's rights from Ohio Valley in the Frontier League dispersal draft in December 2005.

"Patrick has one of the best raw arms in the Frontier League," said John Massarelli "We're going to give him an opportunity to develop that ability in the rotation this year."

The Wild Things will play open their sixth season in the Frontier League in May of 2007. The team has advanced to post-season action an unprecedented five consecutive years. The team is currently accepting deposits for 2007 season ticket packages at the box office. The team will host an open house at the ballpark on April 21st when individual game tickets will go on sale. For information, call 724-250-9555.
