Wild Tame Bulls with 4-2 Win

Wenatchee has returned to home ice to host their Texas rivals, the Amarillo Bulls, and they certainly took the bull by the horns in this game. The Wild would walk away from the ice with a 4-2 win in their pockets and another two points for the standings. Wenatchee is currently sitting only six points out of fourth place, and with the determination the team is playing with at the moment, those points will be attained in no time. The three Stars of the Game went to Tyler Rockwell, David Powlowski, and Jake Ahlgren.

Jake Ahlgren got the ball rolling for the Wild three minutes and thirty eight seconds into the opening period with his power play goal that was made possible with the assistance of Ryan Chiasson and Brendan Harris. The Bulls were put on the board six minutes later when Charlie Combs lit the lamp behind Michael Bullion with the help of Jesper Synnelius. David Powlowski netted the last point of this period twelve minutes into the frame. Kyle Stephan and Ryan Gotelaere picked up the last assists of the period.

There was only one goal scored in the middle period and it was credit to Dakota Raabe. This point was netted on the power play six minutes and thirty eight seconds into the frame with the assistance of August Von Ungern-Sternberg and Mike Coyne.

Wenatchee would receive their fourth and final goal eight minutes after the start of the final period when Tyler Rockwell beat Amarillo goaltender Jacob Weatherly. Tyler was successfully set up by Kyle Stephan. Tristan Rostagno netted the last goal of the match thirty seven seconds later with the help of both Will Harrison and Charlie Combs.

The Wild recorded 41 shots on goal throughout the course of the night as well as only four penalty minutes. Chris Jones was dealt a roughing double minor at the very end of the first period.

Michael Bullion was the winning goaltender for the night, and while playing a full sixty minutes, he stopped 20 shots on goal out of 22.

Coach Littler stated, "Good effort all the way around. Big challenge tomorrow to back up this effort."

These two opponents will be back at it tonight, March 1st, in the final game of the series. The puck will drop at 5:05 pm PST and this is the last time the Bulls will visit the Town Toyota Center this season so don't miss out!
