Wild Recalls Kalus

HOUSTON - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled right wing Petr Kalus (PEE-tuhr, KAY-lus) from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kalus, 22 (6/29/87), has posted 15 points (11-4=15) and 64 penalty minutes (PIM) in 53 games for the Aeros this season. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Ostrava, Czech Republic, played in nine games with the Boston Bruins in 2006-07, tallying five points (4-1=5). Kalus was Boston's second-round pick (No. 39 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and was acquired by the Wild with a fourth-round pick from the Bruins in exchange for Manny Fernandez on July 1, 2007. Kalus will wear No. 23 with the Wild.
