Wild Back In Action On Saturday In Sioux City

The Wichita Wild will return from their second bye week of the season to battle the Sioux City Bandits on Saturday night. The game will be played at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, IA with a 7:05 PM kickoff. The game can be heard LIVE on 1330-AM KNSS.

The Wild enter the game in second place in the Central Division with a 5-2 record. Bye weeks have not been historically kind to the Wild as they are 1-3 all-time coming off of the bye. The Wild rank 7th in the IFL in points scored with 47.0 points per game. The Wild allow 37.1 points per game which ranks 8th in the league.

The Bandits are 3-3 and in third place in the Central Division. Sioux City is led by quarterback James McNear who has passed for 951 yards and 22 touchdowns this season. McNear also ranks 6th in the IFL in rushing yards with 316. The Bandit offense gains an average of 235.7 yards per game which ranks 7th in the league.

Defensively, Sioux City is led by veteran linebacker Spetlar Tonga. Tonga leads the team in tackles with 33 and sacks with two. The Bandit defense is allowing 44.2 points per game which ranks 17th in the IFL.

The Wild return home on May 22 for a game with the San Angelo Stampede. San Angelo and Wichita have matching 5-2 records and are both considered to be in the top tier of the league.
