Outlaws Looking To Hunt Down Predators
April 30, 2010 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Billings Outlaws News Release
The Billings Outlaws hit the road for the second consecutive week on Friday night, as they travel to Kent Washington to face the expansion Kent Predators at 8:30 p.m. Mountain time.
A previously printed version of the Outlaws game schedule is incorrect and shows the game on Saturday, April 30th. The game is actually on FRIDAY, APRIL 30th with an 8:30pm kickoff.
In the season-opener for both teams, which the Outlaws won 56-40 in Billings, the Predators held Outlaws playmaker James Walton in check - something teams haven't been able to do the past two weeks -by holding him to just one catch for 23 yards and a touchdown.
Outlaws quarterback and reining league MVP, Chris Dixon accounted for 150 total yards and six touchdowns (4 passing and 2 rushing).
After struggling through the first month of the season, the Outlaws offense appears to be hitting their championship form of a year ago over their last three games, heading into Friday nights divisional matchup.
The 6-1 Outlaws are averaging just under 70 points a game with Dixon throwing for nearly 600 yards and 20 touchdowns over that span.
Dixon's supporting cast is led by James Walton. Walton has caught 30 passes on the season for 414 yards, finding the end zone 15 times, with eight of them coming in the Outlaws last three games.
Kent (3-4), who sits two games out of the Intense Conference's final playoff spot, is lead by quarterback Charles McCullum and wide receiver Andre Jordan. McCullum has thrown for 28 touchdowns and has also ran for 12 scores. Jordan has caught 22 balls for 435 yards and 12 scores.
You can catch all the hard-hitting action live on the big screens at Bugz in the Heights or at the Squire Lounge on Broadwater. Kickoff is set for 8:30 mountain
