Maywood Buzz News Release

SINGAPORE - It's late in the 2007 NFL season and early in the 2007 ABA season but what we do know is that both the Miami Dolphins are 0-12 and the Maywood Buzz are 0-8, so who will get their first win first. "We have had 6 close loses as have the Dolphins who have set a NFL record for loses within 3pts or less in a season" stated Buzz Head Coach/General Manager Burrel Lee III. "We know that it is two different sports, we play more games then they do, but trust us when we say that we know how they feel to be right there looking a win in the face only to have it taken away in the waying seconds" added Lee.

"When I say I say I know what the Dolphins are feeling believe it, my High School football career wasn't so good, going 0-20 in my 2 years on Varsity that my senior year I went to basketball and baseball and never looked back" Lee says. Lee added "Now that we have lost 8 in a row to start the season I start now to look back at those days and remember what our coach use to tell us, keep your head up, play hard and the day will come."

The Buzz will next take the court at Home when the Rumble from San Francisco comes to Maywood for a 7pm tip off on Friday, December 14th, 2007. This game will be televised in the Maywood and surrounding areas by Time Warner Cable. "We lost a tough one to start the season up in San Francisco last time we played them. We fought to come back from 35pts down only to miss a game tying free throw with just 6.3 seconds to play in the game. We are looking forward to rebound and get a win this coming Friday" say Buzz Rookie Guard J.R. Reese (who is leading the Buzz in scoring at just around 21ppg).

Tickets for this game can be ordered by calling 323-562-5570 or 310-493-439 and prices are General Admission $10.00, Seniors, Military and Children 13yrs and under $5.00. For more information on the Maywood Buzz please visit www.buzzbasketball.com or email us at buzzbasketball@gmail.com.
