Atlanta Vision Next To Take On Aoshen Olympian In Singapore

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Atlanta Vision will be this weekend's opponents of the Beijing Aoshen Olympian with the two game series to be played in Singapore. The Vision is the third team to make the trip this season following games with Quebec City and Maywood. "Our players, coaches and my wife Akilah and I are very excited about the trip and the opportunity to be a part of this historic endeavor," stated Vision owner Quentin Townsend. "Representing the ABA on the world stage is very something few teams get to achieve and we will represent the ABA and the US to the best of our ability."
Starting with the Maywood Buzz games, the series will be shown internationally on a variety of media outlets (to be announced later this week). The games have been produced by the Beijing Aoshen Olympians and are also being shown throughout China.
Tom Chichester and ABA officials have been in Singapore working with officials there on ABA rules and game management, and according to Chichester, "These refs are very bright, very interested, and very capable. The quality of the officiating of the games should be outstanding. We are honored to be working with them. Hopefully we'll have an opportunity for some of them to work some games in the US and Canada."
