WHL Bantam Draft Lottery Goes Wednesday

Vancouver, B.C. - The Western Hockey League will hold the 2015 Bantam Draft Lottery on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00pm PT in Calgary, Alberta. The Vancouver Giants are one of three teams that will have the opportunity to pick at first overall along with the Spokane Chiefs, who acquired Saskatoon's first round pick in a trade in January 2013, and the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
A club can only move up a maximum of two spots in the draft order if it wins the lottery, and the lottery only impacts the first round of the draft. In all subsequent rounds, the teams will draft in the reverse order of the regular season standings.
The Giants have a 19.05% chance of winning the lottery after finishing 20th in the overall league standings.
The 2015 WHL Bantam Draft will be held in Calgary on May 7, 2015.
