
WhiteWings To Host National Anthem Auditions Saturday

Harlingen - United League Baseball's Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings announced today that they are holding tryouts for fans to sing the Star Spangled Banner at home games this season on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Harlingen Field.
The auditions will follow tryouts for local players, which begins at 10 a.m. Prospective players planning on participating can register in advance by calling the WhiteWings at 956-423-WING (9464). The cost of player tryouts is $45.
Participants must bring their own equipment and are advised to arrive early.
The WhiteWings open the 2010 season against Laredo Broncos on Thursday, May 27 at Veterans Field. The WhiteWings' home opener is on Saturday, May 29 at 7:05 p.m. against the Edinburg Roadrunners at Harlingen Field. The WhiteWings will also host the Roadrunners in an 11:05 a.m. exhibition game on Monday, May 24.
