WhiteWings to Host Job Fair Saturday

- United League Baseball's Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings announced today that they are holding a job fair on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Harlingen Field to search for game day employees.

Available positions include:

-Diamond Dolls/Promotions Staff -Ticket Sales -Ticket Takers -Parking Attendants -Wait Staff (TABC Certified) -Hawkers (TABC Certified) -Cooks -Concession Staff (TABC Certified) -Cashiers (TABC certified) -Bankers (bonded)

Game day internships are also available for students who qualify for school credits.

The WhiteWings open the 2009 season against the Coastal Bend Thunder on Thursday, June 11 at Harlingen Field. First pitch will be at 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6:05. It's Thirsty Thursday, meaning $1 draft beers.

It will be the first of 36 regular season home games, with the last one taking place on August 23. The playoffs are scheduled for September 1-through-8.

The WhiteWings are members of United League Baseball, an independent league of six professional baseball teams located in Texas. In its fourth season, the United League is preparing for a great summer with teams located in Amarillo, Edinburg, Coastal Bend, Laredo, Harlingen and San Angelo. Opening Day is June 11.
