
WhiteWings to host Guns N' Roses charity softball game Sunday

Harlingen - United League Baseball's Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings announced today that they will host a charity softball game between the Harlingen Police and Fire Departments on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Harlingen Field.
Gates open at 4:45. Admission is free with the purchase of a ticket to the 7:05 p.m. WhiteWings game against the Amarillo Dillas.
The Police Department will be playing for the Officer Down Fund while the Fire Department will be playing for the Fire Fighters' Association's community relations fund.
WhiteWings players will be on hand to help out. Brian Nichols will be managing the Police Department team while Sandy DeLeon will be managing the Fire Department team.
The WhiteWings last hosted a charity softball game on August 12, 2007, when the Brownsville Police Department beat the Harlingen Police Department 15-11.
