DENVER - A two-sport prep star, Nick Ossello earned All-America honors as a lacrosse player and All-Colorado accolades as a football player at Wheat Ridge High School. On Wednesday, the Colorado Mammoth announced that the team has acquired the homegrown talent from the Georgia Swarm in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2018 NLL Entry Draft.

"It's exciting to have followed Nick's development from the high school ranks through his college career," said Steve Govett, Mammoth president & general manager. "Training camp starts in a month. Nick will get the chance to show us what he can bring at the pro level for his hometown team."

Ossello, who played both lacrosse and football for the University of Notre Dame, was selected by the Swarm in the 2015 Entry Draft. He joins Eric Law (Arapahoe High School) as the two Colorado natives who will participate in Mammoth training camp.
