Whataburger Starts Food Drive

With the holiday season approaching, the Tulsa Oilers are teaming up with Whataburger to help the Tulsa area food bank stock its pantry shelves.

At all seven home games in the month of November, the Oilers and Whataburger will be conducting a canned food drive. Fans who bring two cans of food to any of the Oilers home games in November will receive a coupon for a free Whataburger.

"This is a great way to extend our partnership with the Oilers and also a great way to help the community food bank," Jeff Altman, marketing manager of Whataburger Restaurants said. "We appreciate the opportunity to further help the Tulsa area."

The Oilers seven home games in November are Tuesday Nov. 3 vs. Allen Americans 7:05 p.m.; Friday Nov. 14 vs. Rapid City Rush 7:35 p.m.; Saturday Nov. 14 vs. Mississippi RiverKings 7:35 p.m.; Tuesday Nov. 17 vs. Wichita Thunder 7:05 p.m.; Sunday Nov. 22 vs. Wichita Thunder 4:05 p.m.; Thursday Nov. 26 vs. Missouri Mavericks 7:05 p.m.; Friday Nov. 27 vs. Texas Brahmas 7:35 p.m. All home games are at the BOK Center.

"We want our fans to support and contribute to the food bank, and are glad that Whataburger wants to reward them for their contributions," Oilers general manager Taylor Hall said.
