
Whalers End Outlaws' 4 Game Winning Streak

Wayne, NJ - The Outlaws had their 4 game winning streak snapped at the Capital One Ice Vault on Saturday night as the Whalers used an explosive first period assault to take control of the game from the onset.
The Whalers started the scoring just 48 seconds into the game on a goal by Greg Holt. New Jersey would answer a mere 21 seconds later scoring at 1:09 to tie the game at one a piece. The Whalers would then take control of the game by scoring three goals in 5:56 seconds. Chris Seifert and Greg Holt took advantage on two consecutive power plays to put the Whalers up by a score of 3-1. Kelly Miller added a goal at the 11:45 mark to make it 4-1 heading into intermission. The Outlaws got a goal at 14:24 of the second period to make it 4-2 but could not pull any closer.
Dan McWhinney ended the night with 26 saves on 30 shots. His counterpart, Peter Vetri made 43 saves in the victory.
These two teams will meet once again, Friday, November 11th at 7:35pm at the Capital One Ice Vault in Wayne, New Jersey.
