
Whalers Acquire Two At OHL Trade Deadline

With the Ontario Hockey League Trade Deadline yesterday at noon, Plymouth President, General Manager and Head Coach Mike Vellucci was busy on Sunday, announcing three deals.
First, Plymouth acquired 19-year-old right wing James Livingston from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in exchange for 18-year-old right wing Myles McCauley. The Whalers also picked up 19-year-old center Phil McRae from the London Knights in exchange for 18-year-old left wing Tyler J. Brown, 3rd and 4th round picks in 2010, and 5th and 8th round picks in 2012.
Livingston - who is 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds - was selected by the Soo in the first round (5th overall) of the 2006 OHL Draft and was drafted by the NHL's St. Louis Blues in the third round (70th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. In three and a half seasons with the Greyhounds, Livingston has 57 goals with 57 assists for 114 points and 375 PIM's over 230 games.
