
Westchester Wildfire join USBL

Melbourne, Florida â The Brevard Blue Ducks have found a new northeast rival, as the USBL announced today that the Westchester Wildfire will begin league play in the 2003 season.
Owned by investment advisement firm CEO Gary Lieberman, the Wildfire will play their home games in the 3,000-seat Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY.
"It's great to be adding another team to the league in the northeast. We welcome Westchester to the league," commented Mike Richman, Blue Ducks owner.
Brevard's first game against Westchester will be Saturday, May 24th, at the Clemente Center at Florida Tech. Westchester visits Brevard again for Games Sunday, June 8th and Wednesday, June 11th. The Blue Ducks make their only visit to White Plains when they begin their last road trip of the year on June 15th.
The Wildfire will join the Texas Rim Rockers as the two new teams entering the USBL in its 18th season. Texas, which is coached by former Houston Rocket, Robert Reid, help the Blue Ducks kick off their second season with a game on Saturday, April 19th, at the Clemente Center at Florida Tech, in Melbourne.
